Quote from Mango Wood Tv Stand :
There are many ways to go about making your living room entertainment center look like it’s part of the actual living room. The recent burst of flat-screen television has made TV stands all the more popular. Let’s face it you cannot buy a new 50-inch plasma TV and then set it on some old beat-up wooden or for that matter plastic TV stand. It would only make the TV look like it doesn’t belong in your home and your friends wouldn’t want to see that when football season rolls around. Since most entertainment centers from the past only house up to about a 30 or 35 inch TV you have to go with a TV stand to house your new plasma television set.
When they came on the scene, television was not simply a piece of electronics. It was a piece of furniture in its own right. The screen was built into the furniture. In our current market, this would be known as a console television set. For many years, this was how we expected televisions to look. At the time, even having a television was a luxury. To even own such a cutting edge piece of equipment was such status. The television set held a central spot in your living room. Living rooms needed to be sizable to accommodate such a large item. Televisions were anything but sleek. The entire decor had to focus around the televisions set.
You can use these corner stands to place a television in an area of your home that you otherwise wouldn’t have been able to fit one of those large entertainment centers into in the past. By using the corner TV stand we can accomplish this goal – and much more.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a house built to their expectations, very few get lucky enough to have that chance myself included. So unfortunately we have to settle for our existing room set up the way it is and that’s not very often conducive to a large flat-screen TV. So to improvise we have to come up with a way to make the TV not look out of place in the room and if you’re like me the corner of the room is the best place to get the maximum benefit out of utilizing the whole room. Corner TV stands are the best way to go about making that happen and supporting my flat panel TV.
Corner pieces have distinct advantages. Obviously, since they fit snugly in corners, they help maximize space use and make a room look less disorganized and tight. Corner television stands also make old TV models look less bulky since their backsides are neatly tucked into the angle of a corner. Finally, corner pieces allow greater viewing flexibility. In a square or rectangular room, anyone can watch TV almost from any angle.
Today’s television sets don’t bear very much resemblance to the original sets. You can add your television into your living room, rather than build your living room around the television set. You can find television sets of various sizes. Flat-screen televisions have opened up the living room like never before. This makes space-saving arrangements so much easier. You can find numerous ways to maximize space.
Corner television stands do a perfectly acceptable job in arranging your Audio Visual equipment in a typical family home, they are however undoubtedly inferior to a setup which puts the TV in the center of the room. Your viewing angle is going be compromised somewhat and you not going to be able to get any extra speakers in the best location for movie audio.
