Donna Bianco. Corner TV Stand. November 23rd , 2020.
Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a house built to their expectations, very few get lucky enough to have that chance myself included. So unfortunately we have to settle for our existing room set up the way it is and that’s not very often conducive to a large flat-screen TV. So to improvise we have to come up with a way to make the TV not look out of place in the room and if you’re like me the corner of the room is the best place to get the maximum benefit out of utilizing the whole room. Corner TV stands are the best way to go about making that happen and supporting my flat panel TV.
Today’s television sets don’t bear very much resemblance to the original sets. You can add your television into your living room, rather than build your living room around the television set. You can find television sets of various sizes. Flat-screen televisions have opened up the living room like never before. This makes space-saving arrangements so much easier. You can find numerous ways to maximize space.
Remember those bulky old television units that held the massive TVs of days gone by? Where the TV holding area was made specifically for TVs that had more body then screen? For a long time, there was no alternative to this type of set up. If you wanted to house your TV in anything that looked remotely decent it would need to be in the center of the room and you would require a relatively large amount of space for it to compliment the design of the room. Nowadays we have Plasma and LCD screens which don’t require vast amounts of space or large cabinets that look out of place. Manufacturers have come up with alternative designs and have introduced corner TV stands.
Ensure the corner TV stand you purchase will be able to support the weight of the TV you plan on using it for. The style and design should match your taste and what you plan to do with the rest of the room. Price should also always be considered. Browse around and you’re sure to find a number of corner TV stands that fit your pocket and lifestyle.
So far it looks like the corner TV stand is a lost cause but in actual fact, it’s not all bad news. Maybe there is something in the way of your ideal TV position, maybe a fireplace or something. Then the corner of the room might be your only option. It is also a good way of keeping your room tidy and clutter-free. Leaving space free for hosting parties and entertaining.
When the time comes for you to get a new TV you will probably be looking for a new TV stand as well and you want to match the two items up. You can’t cut corners when it comes to your new stand if you have spent a large amount of money on your new television. Sadly a corner TV stand has some weaknesses if we approach our new TV stand with this attitude.
There are many ways to go about making your living room entertainment center look like it’s part of the actual living room. The recent burst of flat-screen television has made TV stands all the more popular. Let’s face it you cannot buy a new 50-inch plasma TV and then set it on some old beat-up wooden or for that matter plastic TV stand. It would only make the TV look like it doesn’t belong in your home and your friends wouldn’t want to see that when football season rolls around. Since most entertainment centers from the past only house up to about a 30 or 35 inch TV you have to go with a TV stand to house your new plasma television set.
